I write this from one of the most humble places you'll find me (because, let's face it, I'm not that humble). You can't be successful, have great kids, great friends and have it all if you don't have the courage to risk it all. The only force on this earth strong enough to humble me is my own ego. My own desire to do more, be more and prove points has taken me to places I could have never imagined.I write this from one of the most humble places you'll find me (because, let's face it, I'm not that humble). You can't be successful, have great kids, great friends and have it all if you don't have the courage to risk it all. The only force on this earth strong enough to humble me is my own ego. My own desire to do more, be more and prove points has taken me to places I could have never imagined.

At 9PM is when I am at my weakest. My "work day" is done but I have so much more work to do, my kids are in bed, and I have a moment alone with my thoughts and my calendar. These are the times where I feel I'm going to fail before I've given it my all and where any negative feedback from the day sinks in and can convince me I’m not strong enough. Sometimes the weight of it all pushes me straight to the Rosé, but if I focus my energy on positive affirmations and gratitude I can see through the madness to the beauty of it all.

Roberto Bolano stated, "People see what they want to see, and what people want to see never has anything to do with the truth." That might appear harsh, but it's true, and I'm going to tell you a story of just how accurate this is.

A financial service professional whom I know very well liked a picture of a scantily clad individual on LinkedIn. We could argue if the person posting the picture was right in posting it in the first place, but the real concern was the "liking" of the picture. It showed up in my LinkedIn newsfeed as something this advisor interacted with, and I called the advisor.
